Womens Masters medallists
Singapore’s New Hui Fen fended off the challenges of Paranaque’s Liza Clutario and Dae Gu’s Sin Hae Young as she held on to win the Women’s Masters Event of the 22nd Asian Intercity Bowling Championship at the Macau Bowling Center.

Fen edged out Clutario in the final standings by four pins and Sin by seven as the tightly contested final position round unfolded. New used all her last game advantage of 30 pins to lay claim to the Gold medal as Clutario’s 203 win in the final position round wasn’t enough to upend New’s 187 loss to Sin’s 195 game with a win.

New led throughout the second day after taking a 100 plus pin lead after day one, but was only able to muster games of 181, 181 and 187 and finished with a 3440 total to Clutario’s 3436 and Sin’s 3433. Ditas Red finished in fourth place with a 3220 total while Cecilia Yap won all eight matches in the second day finishing in fifth with a 3196 total.
